November
-05/11/2005 we had dinner in Manufaktura for all the "Summer
University" attendants organized by Manufaktura, France-Pologne
por l'Europe Foundation, Technical University in Lodz and our
Municipality. Motto for the event was:"Employment in Europe".
All the quests had an opportunity to see the Manufaktura project
at the construction site and during the dinner speak about their
impressions about Manufaktura project.
November -
3/11/2005 we had a press conference in Manufaktura called
"Manufaktura Employment Platform"-action organized by
investor representatives- director Joao Carlos Xavier Pereira,
marketing manager-Nicolas Roques, our PR Agency Telma, Creyf's
Agency Representative and managers of Employment Departments No
1 and No 2. They announced about over 4000 working places which
will be created in Manufaktura. All the people which are looking
for a job in Manufaktura we would like to invite to visit our
webpage www.manufaktura.lodz.pl and link "praca" there you can
fill an application form to participate in recrutation process.
Paper application forms are available in Manufaktura, Creyf's
(Piotrkowska 111) and Employment Dept. No 1&2 offices.
July
-On Saturday 16th of July Manufaktura was visited by
representatives of French companies, what was organized by
Polish-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Guests were
invited to visit Piotrkowska Street, Poznanski’s Palace and
Manufactura’s Center of Information, were they had an occasion
to meet the vice president of Lodz-Marek Michalik and
representatives of Lodz’s enterprises and the local
institutions. Everybody visited the contruction site. Such
meetings are an occasion to make foreigners more interested in
Manufaktura and the city of Lodz, as well as to exchange
opinions, experiences and establish new, promising contacts.
June
-on 16th June 2005 the Monuments’
Protection Society organized an exhibition opening of Mr.
Andrzej Wach’s photography. The exhibition is entitled „ The
I.K. Poznanski’s complex as a Lodz important heritage. The
biggest revitalization of the monumental objects and giving them
a new function”. It will be available from 16th June till 16th
July at Piotrkowska 104 Street. It should attract anybody
interested in the construction of Manufaktura, which opening is
planned for spring 2006. On behalf of the organizers and us own,
we kindly invite you to come.
June
-10/06/2005 the president of the City of Pabianice- Mr. Jan
Berner organized, with a co-operation on Manufaktura,
another meeting with the Businessmen Council. The Project
Information Center was chosen for the venue, so as the guest
could see the progress in constructing Manufaktura, while
visiting the site.
June
-07/06/2005 we had as a guest Mr. Yoram Reshef and his
co-operants from the Blue City Center in Warsaw. Having
returned from the trip of the site, Mr. Yoram wrote in our guest
book that he congratulates everybody who is connected to the
realization of Manufaktura- the generation of people the future,
with a great vision and bravery and wished them all the best.

- 07/06/2005 we had a visit of the Team creating the Silesia
complex in Katowice, led by Simon Bayley. The project was
really appreciated with is confirmed by the notice in our guest
book, made by the project director representative of TRIGRANIT
DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION company, dedicated to all Manufaktura’s
creators in which he congratulated for this great undertaking.

-An internet success of the 13th Grammar School. The
highest international price for the students. The project of the
pupils from Lodz about Manufaktura was awarded by the
Platinum Award 2005 (1st price in the world) in the
international Cyberfair contest, in the category Historical
Landmarks. Cyberfair is the biggest international contest
organized by the American organization Global SchoolNet
Foundation. The students prepare multimedial projects about
their closest places and local communities, and present in the
Internet the effects of their work. As far as the Polish schools
are concerned, this is the 13th Grammar School from Lodz, which
can boast about the best results. The project is about the
history of the former Poznanski’s industry complex and about
Manufaktura, currently built on this place. The students
received many help from Apsys- the main investor, who shared
with many substantial and visual supports and allowed to take

- May– on 24th May 2005 we had as
a guest a group of architects from Bialystok, led by the city
architect Mr. Andrzej Chwalibog. Everybody visited the site
and afterwards the main architect made a following notice in our
guest book: „ I SAW- I BELIVED! THANK YOU FOR THE EXPREIENCE
RELATIVE TO YOUR TASK. THIS CRASH OF THE OLD AND THE NEW, OF THE
ART AND THE TECHNIC, THE ESTHETICS ANS THE ECONOMICS MUST GIVE A
GREAT PROGENY!”.

-on 20th Mai, Manufaktura had a special visit of the
vice-president of Gdynia Mr. Marek Stępa, the city architect-
Mr. Janusz Przybyszewski, the city planner Mr. Marek Karzyński
and a numerous group of the City Office’s representatives.
Rapt by the project, they left a following notice in our guest
book: „We are strongly impressed by the project undertaken by
Apsys, which is not only commercial but also c o n s e r v a t o

-On 18th and 19th May 2005, for an invitation of the
publishing house Architektura /Murator, several dozen of
architects from Poland visited Manufaktura in order to admire,
as a part of “The great constructions of the 3rd Republic” ,
this great project which is a construction of the
multifunctional center- Manufaktura. The site was presented not
only by the investor’s representatives, but also by his
co-operants: the contract engineer – company OTH, the main
architect- Sud Architectes company, a representative of the
office Veritas and the sub-contractors’ representatives.
April
- 21/04/2005 - The group of Senators from the Cultural and
Mass Media Commission visited Manufaktura construction site.
For majority of guests it was the first time they can admire the
scope of works, intensity and addiction of people who creates
Manufaktura.
March
- On march 20th 2005, Mr Bernard Faivre d’Arcier visited the
Manufaktura Infomation Centre . He is a supervisor of famous
theatre festival in Avinion and manager of last year’s Polish
season in France - “Nova Polska”. Mr Faivre d’Arcier was
acquainted with a project of investment and he expressed his
interest in cooperation. He considers that Manufaktura has
specific atmosphere and conditions and that’s why it will be an
ideal place to arrange theatre festival.
February - 17 th
of February in the Manufaktura information Center Olivier
Janiak visited Manufaktura- well known journalist , having a
program on TV "What a week", he liked the investment and is
willing to work with us in the future.

Maria Jopek with her band visited Manufaktura. During her
visit in Lodz, having concert at 13.02.2005 the artist didn't
hide her excitement about Manufaktura concept. She wrote at our
"golden book of guests" : "... even now me and my band are fans
of this place-Hugs&Greetings, thank you for your warm welcome
and we wait for the grand opening and we keep our fingers
crossed."
January - We
sponsored financial the final of ,,The Great Orchestra of
Christmas Charity’’ made possible for disable children
exciting ride rally car’s on Piłsudskiego avenue.

- Manufaktura was the sponsor of the prix for the one from
selected designers-diplomatist from lodzian Academy of Fine Arts
on jubilee gala of professor Barbara Hanuszkiewicz
probation which took place in Opus Film studio at 13.01.2005.

December
-The company Asys-Poland, investor of the Manufaktura, was
flavor in the competition ,,Gold clips 2004’’ by activity public
relation lead in affiliation in infestation. The activities lead
up for us the company Telma Group. In October before
checking all the project which has been sent jury gave a
nomination for Telma Groupe for the project of the PR campaign
for Manufaktura in category of Public Affair. All the awards has
proceeded in Sheraton hotel at 6th of December. Almost 50
projects were sent for competition.
December -
Manufaktura helped to lodzian Caritas Archidiocese in
preparation the lark of Betlejem, who stand in Cathedral
place. In time of exposition of the lark campaigned charetable
pick financial for ,,Eve’s work helper for children’’, or
organization nutrition, repose, and extemporary help for
necessities children .
December -
Manufaktura was sponsor of the gals JAZZ OSCARS. In
lodzian Big Theatre, the Jazz Association Melomans gave in prix
for the people of jazz. The star of concert after distribute the
prix in theatre was Andreas Vollenweider.
December - We
were sponsor of wellknown festival of operators arts
Camerimage, that accumulated operators, directors, and
actors and also the students-films from all over the world.

- 29.12.2004 we had a pleasure to entertain Ambassador of
People’s Republic of China- Mr.Yuan Guisen with his wife and
Łódź authorities. Ambassador had listen history of Izrael
Poznański factory and could see project presentation of the
Centre. The project made a really excellent impression and
Ambassador promised observing the progress of work’s and also
the final effect. The meeting proceeded in a very nice
atmosphere and was full of ideas how to promote together Polish
and Chinese culture.
November - We
were sponsor of the Days of France in Łódź, organized by
Honorary Consul of France in Łódź, professor Michał Seweryński.
During ten days of entertainment interests shows of films,
spectacles, concerts, presentations of kitchen and wins of Fance
had place, and also the meetings in thematic of economist and
science.
November
- Foundation of Piotrkowska Street in the cooperation of
Municipality of Lodz and Manufaktura organized in the Lodz
Business Club debate „Possibilities of using Manufaktura to
develop neighboring zones of Lodz centre" . Specialists have
sound off voice in discussion i.e. architects, independent
experts, representatives of city and Apsys firm. Investor is
being sure that Manufaktura apearing will have positively effect
on developing neighboring areas of centre and inhabitants of
Lodz will have beside famous Piotrkowska Street also squere
market available at the Manufaktura site.
October - At
06.10.04 – 08.10.04 Manufaktura project participated in the
first Forum of Bodies Responsible for Preserving the National
Heritage and Historic Monuments in Poland under the
patronage of the Curator for Heritage and Historic Monuments
organized in the cooperation of Ministry of Culture.
September -
Counting started before one year to opening Manufaktura.
16 of September 2004 - press conference has proceeded in
Lodz for polish-wide journalists, precedent aim of the
conference was to prepare media on such a powerful event as
opening of the Manufaktura in September of next year. By know
the article about Manufaktura and Łódź also appeared in
international media like: Polityka, Puls Biznesu,
Rzeczpospolita, Gazeta Wyborcza, Supermartk News, Rynek Łódzki,
Handel, Wiadomości Handlowe, Home &Market. Apsys representatives
Mr Frederic Laloum –vice-president of Apsys Group responsible of
commercialization have presented the commercialization (80%
surface rented already) and vice president of Apsys Groupe
responsible of developpement Mr Jean-Yves Ebel presented
Manufaktura as a future-only one in Poland- Destination Center.
It will be such a multifunctional place which contains
entertainment, trade, services, culture, and in which people can
spend even a few days.

- Visit of professor Wally Olins, in Manufaktura,
professor of the Cambridge University who is simultaneously a
consultant of polish goverment in range of creating a mark.
Professor has spent several days in Poland, visiting such a
cities like: Warszawa, Kraków, Łódź.

- Press Conference on Foksal. Polish Tourist Oranization and
Regional Tourist Organization of Lodz Voivodeship organized
in Warsaw a promotion press conference of all the tourist
actions in our region. Also Manufaktura was presented at this
conference helping in the promotion of very attractive lodzian
voivodeship.

- Visit of Business Advisors from European Union countries
in Manufaktura. Business Advisors arrived from nine EU
countries to Lodz for two days to convince ourselves about
lodzian region attractiveness. They also visited Manufaktura and
have carried a press conference here summing up it visit.
March
- At 25 of March 2004 Minister of Culture Waldemar Dąbrowskivisited
Lodz. It was very important day for Manufaktura because
Letter of Intent was signed related to creating in one of
the listed building of the Poznański's Factory a new department
of Lodz Museum of Art. Minister Dąbrowski signed also a promise
of a grant for adapting a building for Museum in amount of 4 mln
PLN. Minister visited at the end the Manufaktura construction
site.
January -
Ceremony of laying the first brick for the construction of
the Manufaktura Centre. Maurice Bansay, The President of Apsys
Group laid the first brick in Manufaktura on 22nd January. A
tube containing the Certificate of the event and a number of
symbolic objects were laid together with the brick.

Prague devoted to new strategies in the real estate market,
where Manufaktura was presented as a prime example of new
directions in the development of commercial projects during the
European session of the ULI (Urban Land Institute of
Washington). The conference proved that the European market
is developing in a very dynamic manner. It indicated the growing
interest in the regeneration of urban areas and in the
combination of entertainment with trade in this type of project,

Competition
- In co-operation with the High School of Arts and Design in
Lodz we held a competition
for the best architectural, graphic, and photographic
documentation ideas connected with our project. In May 2003 we
presented the results and awarded the prizes.
The top prizes of 1500 PLN went
to: Agnieszka Liszka for the project of the Market Square
development and Piotr Warzych for Visual Communication: the
Sign-Code system.
June
- Press conference - on 26th June in one of the
post-industrial halls we organized a press conference connected
with the commencement of the construction work. The conference
was attended by: the President of Apsys International – Maurice
Bansay, members of the patron committee: the editor-in-chief of
the Elle magazine – Marzena Wilkanowicz-Devoud, actress
Malgorzata Potocka, mountaineer Piotr Pustelnik, and Isabella
Pace, the representative of Cite des Sciences et de l’Industrie
and Yves Mousson-Lestang, trade attaché at the Embassy of France
in Poland, and Marek Budziarek, historian.
