Museum of the Factory |

The Factory Museum is also worth visiting. The exhibits gathered
here may help visitors imagine life in the 19th century. They also
illustrate events from Izrael Kalmanowicz Poznański’s life and work.
The exhibits present the history of his factory and the surrounding
area.

The new site of Museum of Art is located in a
historic building of a 19th century textile factory. ms2 is most
importantly the place of experimental work with the Collection of XX
XXI century art. Unique collections of the Museum are presented here
on a space of 3000 square meters – which is more than three times
more than in the edifice on Więckowskiego street. The method of
presentation is different as well – in ms2, works are not situated
only on a time line. The chronology has been replaced by groups of
notions, owing to which the works reveal messages important for us
here and now. 600 square meters of the new building is occupied by
temporary exhibitions. Further rooms are destined for educational
activities, performance, meetings with artists and film
demonstrations. The museum invites artists, designers and architects
to create projects particularly considering the ms2 building.
Undertakings realized this way will enrich the Collection of XX and
XXI century art, and contact with the works can begin from taking a
closer look at the façade. The building also houses Boston Cafe and
an art bookstore – mała litera art.

The Museum of History

| In the Poznanski Palace, which is next to Manufaktura, there is a
museum known by all the inhabitants of Łódź – The Museum of History
of City Łódź.
Its impressing collection will illustrate the history of this
wonderful city. Temporary exhibitions are also worth visiting. Among
them you may see works of outstanding artists from all over the
world displayed.
